Since 2003, RB Gym and Sport have been delivering gymnastics within the education sector, working with primary schools, teacher’s and pupils with the mission of improving the level of gymnastics that is being taught and delivered to pupils.
Gymnastics can be transformative in its impact on a child’s physical, emotional, cognitive and social development.
Yet initial teacher training focuses very little on the subject. As a result, there’s a huge lack of confidence amongst primary school teachers when it comes to delivering gymnastics in the curriculum. But with the developmental benefits it offers, gymnastics is an essential sport to teach primary school pupils. That’s where RB Gym and Sport come in:
